Know where your water is coming from

You are about to buy one of the most important assets you can your home. Now we all jump to have the home inspection done however 9 out of 10 home inspectors do not know how to appropriately assess the functionality or condition of the system. Let me start by saying the home inspector looking at the tank and running the kitchen sink does not qualify as a well Inspection. Now you may ask why do the inspection? why is it soo important? The last thing you want is to move into your dream home to find out you have an inadequate water supply. Another common situation is you move in and the pumping system fails. The typical life span of a pumping system is 7-15 years depending on the condition of the water so if you have a system dated to be older than that or on the higher side of that then you need to understand that you have that expense impending in the near future. The Flow test is soo important and should be run between 2 to 4 hours depending on the well. If the well is not adequate to suit the home rehabilitation is costly and sometimes can't even be done. In some cases the home needs a new well all together meaning more high expenses. Now lets talk water quality water quality is so important some water contaminants can be extremely harmful and expensive to re-mediate .

Knowing all this info in advance could potentially save you thousands of dollars involving the transfer. 9/10 times the technitians will find some flaw to the system and this means money in your pocket
